And so it goes....

Oh Life. So, yes I procrastinate...but it seems it may have bit me in the bum. Last night I got a call from my mother-in- law....who also is my darling husband and I's land-lord. Well....we were originally planning to move in August...so although time was ticking on me I had time. Turns out there is someone that is really interested in the house now. Which is great! But, also means that the next few weeks are totally going to be me tidying and packing, as well as getting rid of our oh so unnecessary belongings. In many ways this is great, the fact that my mommy-in-law doesn't have to hire a real-estate agent is great and saves money, it also give me a time-line which is totally motivating. The only down side is that my darling husband and I will have to live with my parents until we move to the coast. Which will definitely be an adjustment.

So....in the spirit of moving next week I am going to have some of the girls come by and choose what of my clothes they want so that I have less to pack. Which means what? It means many many many loads of laundry.

Oh...and did I mention that my little cat loves laundry? Yes, she does...especially when it comes to towels! She is a huge fan of towels.

I procrastinate....

We are moving in August. We are moving so that my darling husband can complete his bachelor degree. There are only four months left before we go, and you know what....I haven't found us a place to live. I have looked, but haven't found, and that isn't it I haven't even began to declutter my house and get ride of those oh so unnecessary belongings. We have a nice new table, do we really need a 1950's table and chair set? Why is it still even sitting in my basement.  Have I mentioned my three old couches. Yes, we have three old couches that I would love to ride us of...but my darling  husband has decided that we are only going to get rid of them when someone decides they want them. So, if you want an old saggy blue couch that is quite comfy but, quite ugly let me know. I also have an orange one, that smells like cat.

I guess it isn't just procrastination but it is that in combination with being totally unmotivated. It is totally overwhelming and I can't stand it at all. I would much rather sit on the couch and play fetch with my lovely little kitten. We just have to much stuff, and we must get ride of it.

At least we got ride of the piano.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

I always loved that song and as a child I would try and sing along to it...with very little luck. In High School I was backstage crew for our High School performances of "The Sound of Music", this is where I finally got the words memorized. But, that song is not what I am writing about today. Today I am going to tell you one of my favorite things, or two.

Today, I am going to tell you about my infatuation with picnics. As I child picnics meant going to the park, enjoying the simple things in life. Picnics have always tugged on my heart-strings. Picnics somehow make everything in life okay, all the devastation that you may have been feeling moments earlier are now gone because you are soaking up the love that is a picnic. Picnics immerse you in an atmosphere that loves you. Lets face it you never go on a picnic with someone that doesn't care a lot for you. Picnics bring you to a lovely place, with someone you find lovely.

Today, I got to have a picnic- a picnic filled with grapes, sandwiches, and laughter. Today I got to soak in the beauty of life. Today I got to live, and I got a picnic. I love picnics for so many reasons. I love picnics because I get to dress up in lovely flowing dresses. I love picnics because I get to get out my picnic basket...you know one of those baskets that have  a flap on either side of the handle...and I get to fill it up with wonderful fresh food. I just love picnics.

and I love my husband for taking me on them.

My Cat..

Fetches. I will throw her something and she will bring it back, then she will meow or soft paw me until I throw it again.

Her preference is beer caps.

My Mothers Tea Cup Collection

My mother collects tea-cups and some pots as well. I have always loved that she did this. It actually inspired my wedding table centerpieces. I have never really known there to be a reason why she does this, other then she thinks they are beautiful. She has never been one to pick the normal plain tea-cups.

She picks the unusual, the whimsical, fairy-tale like tea-cups. The ones that look as if they have a story to tell. I look forward to someday having a daughter that can have a tea party with my mom.

Oh, how I love my mothers tea-cup collection. I plan on someday starting one of my own. One filled with whimsy. But, right now is not the time to start (something I have to remind myself) because they would not be easy to pack and move with us, all 12 hours away. So until we have settled, until we have a place of our own, my mother tea-cup collection will have to do.
